Some sample language you could include in emails and/or social media posts:
The scallop farming sector offers significant economic opportunity for Maine fishermen and entrepreneurs looking to diversify income streams amid changing ocean conditions. However, without state-supported biotoxin testing protocols, scallop farmers face a major barrier to market access and business viability. LD 1279 directly addresses this gap by enabling safe, local testing in collaboration with the Department of Marine Resources and existing industry leaders.
