Rachel Rathburn is the Business Development Services Program Developer at Coastal Enterprises, Inc., a Maine-based community development financial institution with a mission to build just, vibrant and climate-resilient futures for people and communities in Maine and rural regions by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably.

As the Business Development Services Program Developer, Rachel is responsible for the strategic planning and management of workshop trainings and events for entrepreneurs across the state of Maine. Rachel also manages social media engagement and promotion for the CEI Women’s Business Centers. She is passionate about building community among female entrepreneurs and the value of peer-to-peer learning. Rachel collaborates with partner organizations, community resources, and network connections to develop programming to help female entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.

Prior to joining CEI in the spring of 2021, Rachel worked as an Assistant Team Leader/ Bread baker at Whole Foods Market in Portland. Rachel grew up in Vermont and now lives in Portland with her two tuxedo cats, Lola and Komi.
