About Elizabeth
Ms. Butler has over forty years of experience as a legal counselor to private and public sector clients in the economic development and innovation sectors on a broad range of issues, including corporate and commercial transactions and financing, legal and regulatory compliance, and administrative law and litigation. In addition to her domestic practice, she has extensive experience as legal adviser to international donors on clean energy transition, renewable energy, water, and other infrastructure matters. In addition to private practice, her experience includes service as the Chief Counsel to the Governor of Maine and as an assistant attorney general for the State Maine. Ms. Butler graduated with a B.A. in government from Smith College and a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law.
