Mind Your Own Business

Is the idea of preparing a business plan overwhelming? Do you feel more passionate about your product or service than you do about “planning” for it? Are you interested in how to bring more mindfulness into your life, INCLUDING your business?
Whether you’ve been in business for years, or imagining starting your own business, a mindful, purposeful, and authentic business plan can serve as your compass. It can help you to articulate your goals and intentions, and to design actions in alignment with your personal philosophy as well as your business objective.
In this 5-week cohort, facilitated by Ruth Feldman, you will use a mindful approach towards reflecting on business in a holistic way. We will consider the personal, financial and practical aspects to develop a viable, balanced business and self.
We’ll begin each session with a very short mindfulness practice. You’ll receive 1-2 prompts per week that will complement your independent work. Our conversations each week will contribute to your authentic plan with which to create a business filled with passion AND profit.
Some of the topics we will address include:
- The “WHY” of your business,
- A look into a “Day in the Life” that will help you define the operations of your business.
- Defining how much is enough – for YOU
- Imagining your business legacy
During our final session, we will share ideas, challenges, inspirations for next steps, and celebrate having completed a basic business plan through opening ourselves to curiosity and reflective exercises.
