Thao Duong is currently a Finance and Fund Administration Manager of CEI Ventures, Inc. (CVI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coastal Enterprises, Inc (CEI), a Maine-based community development financial institution with a mission to build just, vibrant and climate-resilient futures for people and communities in Maine and the Northeast by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably.

As a Finance and Fund Administration, Thao oversees accounting, cash management functions, annual audits, tax reporting and administration of three active venture funds and management company, CEI Ventures Inc.

Thao was hired as a Loan Assistant at CEI in early 1994 and joined CEI Ventures as an Administrative Assistant later in 1994. Since inception, CEI Ventures has raised five venture capital funds total over $62 million that invested in over 72 companies and created over 3,000 jobs in Maine and Northeast.

Prior to joining CVI, Thao worked in Workers’ Compensation at University of Maine at Orono and Refugee Immigration at Catholics Charities of Maine.

EDUCATION

Thao holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maine at Orono.
