About Tabin

As a CEI Program Developer, Tabin provides oversight, technical assistance, implementation, and reporting for grant-funded workforce projects. He develops and executes innovative solutions to meet recruitment needs, HR policy, and targeted customized training opportunities for CEI’s portfolio businesses. He convenes stakeholders’ interactions related to workforce development with business borrowers, implements and monitors Employment and Training Agreements with CEI financed businesses. Tabin facilitates access to job opportunities for low-income residents, immigrants, and dislocated workers. He develops regional alliances with partners to recruit participants and ensure individuals have the support necessary to be successful on the job. Tabin advises business owners and managers to improve workers’ job quality while delivering competitive advantage to businesses.

Tabin has more than a decade of professional work experience providing leadership, programmatic, communication, and human resources services. Prior to joining CEI, Tabin served as a Human Resources Leader for Talent and Culture at Maine Public Broadcasting Corporation and was a Program Associate with Portland Public Schools working on New Mainers Resource Center providing career support to foreign trained professionals. While living in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tabin held nonprofit and corporate jobs. He grew up in Luebo, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Education:

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Finance major, from the University of Southern Maine

I worked as a sales Manager for a company that sold computer hardware and software.
