About Michelle

Michelle Ridlon is the Benefits and Payroll Manager at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), a Maine-based community development financial institution with a mission to build just, vibrant and climate-resilient futures for people and communities in Maine and rural regions by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably.

As CEI’s Benefits and Payroll Manager, Michelle is responsible for providing high quality internal customer service relating to corporate fringe benefits and payroll programs.  She works closely with CEI and their subsidiaries to ensure that all HR-related inquiries are handled in a responsive, accurate and professional manner. Michelle also works closely with the Talent and Diversity Manager on Talent Development processes at CEI.

Prior to working at CEI, Michelle held human resources roles in the non-profit sector and service industry.

What is unique about the town you grew up in?

I grew up in Camden, Maine. It hosts the National Toboggan Championship each year- a unique event that you can’t find anywhere else. The event started in 1991. The original chute was built in 1936 and rebuilt in 1990. And yes! I have gone down the chute and it’s fast.

What is your favorite candy or snack food?

Dark Chocolate
