About Matthew
Matthew Matuniak is a Vice President with U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance (USBIF) and Head of Non-Tax Credit Equity Investments, focused on growing and managing U.S. Bank’s impact driven private equity investment platform. As part of the Impact Capital team Mr. Matuniak develops and manages relationships with impact driven investment funds to make investments supporting U.S. Bank’s broad Impact Goals and ESG mission, particularly U.S. Bank’s Access Commitment which is focused on minority investment to alleviate the racial wealth gap. He also acts as a Managing Partner to Resistance Ventures, a small investment group focused on community impactful projects and underrepresented founders. Prior to this, Mr. Matuniak was active in NMTC Investments for over a decade with USBIF and Advantage Capital Partners where he’s been engaged in all aspects in the program and investment lifecycle.
Before focusing on community development, he worked as a distressed and special situation focused Private Equity practitioner in New York with Pegasus Capital Partners and their portfolio companies, as well as consulted independently to Fortune 500 companies on financial matters.
Mr. Matuniak received his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
