About Bruce
Mr. Nickerson has extensive executive experience with strategic leadership, financial management and corporate & board governance. His professional background has been focused on the financial services sectors complemented by board governance and advisory board support roles spread across various businesses and non-profits. Since September 2022 he has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Cross Insurance, a family-owned insurance agency located in Bangor Maine. Cross Insurance is the 19th largest property and casualty insurance agency in the US supported by its 1,100 plus employees based in over 40 locations across New England and New York. He previously served as a member of the Bangor Savings Bank executive team from 2001 until he retired in 2021. Mr Nickerson is also actively involved on the Boards or Advisory Boards of the following organizations – – CEI Ventures, Delta Dental Plan of Maine (Northeast Delta Dental’s Maine insurance subsidiary), currently serving as its Board Chair, North Atlantic Capital, Maine Angels’ side car funds – – Dirigo Angel Funds I and II, and Bangor YMCA Foundation with past board service at Unity Environmental University, three years as its Board Chair, and Maine Health Access Foundation, six years as its Treasurer.
