What is unique about the town you grew up in?
I grew up on Orr’s Island, in Harpswell. I am 6th generation on the island. Located in Casco Bay, Harpswell has the longest coastline of any town in Maine at 216 miles. It is also home to the only granite Cribstone Bridge in the world. Built in 1928, the Cribstone Bridge connects Orr’s and Bailey Island and is made of granite slabs quarried in Yarmouth and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. Harpswell is a small town full of fishing families and small business owners, full of tradition and entrepreneurial spirit.
What was your first job?
