Class Description
This one-session workshop will help you decide if self-employment is the right choice for you and what is needed in writing a business plan for existing businesses. The class covers the pros and cons of owning your own business, the steps needed for start-up, the major elements of a business plan, and the many resources available to help you succeed.
Jane Searles, Regional Manager/Micro Enterprise Specialist from New Ventures Maine, Ruth Cash – Smith, Certified Business Advisor, The Women’s Business Center at CEI: Rural Maine, J. Peter Gilbert, Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance, Thomas College and a practicing CPA, will provide a two hour workshop on Wednesday August 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lubec Town Hall, 40 School Street, Lubec.

There is no fee but seating is limited and registration is required by calling the Town of Lubec at (207) 733-2341 by Monday August 24th.
