The Homebuyer Seminar is a two-day Homeownership Education Course, on Saturday, October 11 & 18 from 9:00am – 2:30pm.
The purpose of the Homeownership Education Course is to help people prepare for and be well informed about the process of buying a home. Seminar topics include: evaluating your credit; what price home you can afford; budgeting and money management; selecting and working with a real estate agent; home inspections; types of available mortgages, including Maine Housing, VA, Rural Development; as well as the closing process and post-closing considerations.
Participants must complete both sessions and will receive a Certificate of Completion. The non-refundable cost of the two-session seminar is $30/person, $50/couple.
