The Homebuyer Seminar is a four-session Homeownership Education Course, on Tuesday and Thursday, July 15, 17, 22 & 24 from 6:00 – 8:30pm.
The purpose of the Homeownership Education Course is to help people prepare for and be well informed about the process of buying a home. Seminar topics include: evaluating your credit; what price home you can afford; budgeting and money management; selecting and working with a real estate agent; home inspections; types of available mortgages, including Maine Housing, VA, Rural Development; as well as the closing process and post-closing considerations.
Participants must complete all four sessions and will receive a Certificate of Completion. The non-refundable cost of the four-session seminar is $30/person, $50/couple.
Please note: Deadline for registrations is July 8th. Space is limited, so prepayment is required to reserve your seat.
