Machias: Business Funding Options with Maine Technology Institute

Do you have an idea, process or prototype that you would like to launch? Is there a system or tool you’d like to try out that will increase efficiencies in your business or enable you to hire more employees into good jobs? Are you just starting out and need the support to take your innovation to the next level? Discover the flexibility of MTI’s new funding approach as Amy Leshure, Investment Officer at MTI, explains the process. Using the MTI VIRAL tool is a good way for businesses to assess their readiness for different levels of possible funding from MTI as they look to grow, expand and innovate their business offerings.

This is a free workshop sponsored by WBC. Pre-registration is required.

The Maine Technology Institute (MTI) offers grants, loans, equity investments, and services to support Maine’s innovation economy across many different sectors. They support new ideas, products, or methods with the potential to grow and diversify Maine’s economy and increase the number of quality jobs throughout the state through direct support of business owners and start-up entrepreneurs and through support of programs and infrastructure that encourage innovation. Since 1999, MTI has invested $260 million in over 2,000 projects across Maine. That funding has leveraged over $1 billion in private sector matching funds. In the past fiscal year alone, MTI deployed $58 million in over 150 projects statewide.

The Machias workshop will be held on November 19th from 8am-10am in the large conference room at SCEC 7 Ames Way, Machias.
