SUMMARY:BIPOC Women's Business Navigator - Lewiston
DESCRIPTION:This 9-week cohort provides technical guidance to 10-12 women of color who are either at the pre-start or very early stages of their entrepreneurial journey.  \nEach session will be facilitated by Grace Mo-Phillips\, WBC Business Advisor. Three sessions will be held in-person\, the rest of the sessions will be held virtually via Zoom.  \nThrough practical business training and peer discussions\, participants help one another define and refine their business ideas\, identify where the opportunities and challenges lie\, and develop strategies to overcome barriers in starting or growing their business.  \nParticipants will also learn about available resources to help take their business to the next level.  \nWho should participate: This program is open to women in Maine who are Black\, Brown\, Indigenous and from other diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds who want to start or grow their own business. This program will be conducted in English.  \nLocation:  In-person sessions will be held at 75 Park Street\, Lewiston\, ME 04240. Maine hoMEworks is a statewide coalition of home buyer education providers with a mission to develop a consistent\, high quality home buyer education program delivered by a network of industry professionals throughout Maine. \nPre-registration is required and there is a $30/person or $50/couples (purchasing together) non-refundable charge Veterans and Active military free (Must provide DD214 or L.E.S.)
