The Women’s Business Center at CEI is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The SBA is an independent agency of the federal government that was built to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small businesses. As such, the SBA offers many programs and services, which include financial assistance for new or existing businesses through guaranteed loans made by area bank and non-bank lenders, and free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business through SCORE, Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) and Women’s Business Centers (WBC) Training.
The SBDC offers free business consulting and a wide range of workshops from offices throughout the state. The SBDC also maintains a comprehensive on-line resource of business development information for the small business community. Similarly, the New Hampshire SBDC offers over 40 free, online business classes for new and existing business owners.
Futurpreneur Canada is the Canada’s only national, non-proﬁt organization that provides ﬁnancing, mentoring and support tools to new business owners. Futurpreneur offers a variety of helpful resources for startup business planning, including financial templates, webinars and entrepreneur crash-courses.
