About Lara
Lara Decker is the Senior Accountant Supervisor at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), a Maine-based community development financial institution with a mission to build just, vibrant and climate-resilient futures for people and communities in Maine and rural regions by integrating finance, business expertise and policy solutions in ways that make the economy work more equitably.
As CEI’s Senior Accountant Supervisor, Lara works with the Director of Accounting and other managers to provide accounting, analysis, and regulatory support for various programs to meet fund reporting requirements. Lara provides supervision, leadership, and guidance to the Senior Fund Accountant & fund accountant.
Lara’s prior work experience includes teaching eighth grade science, fund accounting for Putnam Investments / StateStreet Bank and Parks Director for the Town of Bristol, Maine. Lara has volunteered her grant writing skills for over 15 years to schools and various non-profits to help secure funding for projects. Fun fact: Lara is a sternwoman on a lobster boat on the weekends.
