Claude Rwaganje

About Claude

Claude Rwaganje is the Founder and Executive Director of ProsperityME, a refugee-led nonprofit focused on financial education and economic empowerment for immigrant and refugee communities. Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, he has served as Executive Director since 2008. He has held leadership roles including serving on the Westbrook City Council and as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Community Development Advisory Council. He has received numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate from Colby College in 2024, and serves on the board of the Maine Community Foundation. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
