IT Internship

CEI has an exciting IT internship opportunity available immediately at our main office in Brunswick. Our IT staff provides critical services to each CEI company and is essential for keeping all systems functioning. The individual selected will be able work a part-time schedule during the semester and a full-time schedule during the summer.

At CEI, we place high importance on sharing knowledge and working together. Find your niche as a business systems analyst, software developer, or within specialties that include networking, application support, servers, storage and security. You will also broaden your skills by working alongside team members who offer their own unique skills and ideas.

Education Requirements:
Junior or senior undergraduate students enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science program looking for an experiential learning opportunity.

For credit or Paid: CEI is able to offer this opportunity for course credit or as a paid internship. If seeking for credit, you must submit the job information to your advisor and/or department chair for approval.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
IT intern to assist with various activities within the Service Desk and Network Operations. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including:

  • Answering customer calls and logging measures taken to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Assisting users with, but not limited to:
    • Application issues
    • Hardware problems
    • Requests for and installation of hardware / software
    • Mobile device connectivity
    • Passwords issues
    • LAN / WAN
    • New user accounts and access requests
