Program Launch
A Flexible Capital Fund for Grocery Stores Offering Healthy Foods
Please join us for a presentation by national celebrity chef Michel Nischan and discussion of Coastal Enterprise’s Healthy Food Finance Initiative. Lunch will be provided.
By invitation only! Space is limited!
CEI’s healthy food finance staff will introduce this dynamic program, gather feedback on grocery store operator needs, discuss technical details, and outline next steps.

Chef Nischan will speak about the work that his organization, Wholesome Wave, has done that demonstrates strong demand for healthy food in underserved communities. He will also discuss the economic power of SNAP dollars and developing incentives for consumers to purchase more fresh regionally grown foods.
Wholesome Wave’s new Healthy Food Commerce Initiative (HFCI) directs capital and business development assistance to expand regional food infrastructure. HFCI aims to expand distribution channels for local healthy food, making it easier to 'source local' while supporting regional farmers & producers and stimulating your regional economy.
