Over time, CEI has responded to new markets and opportunities by establishing subsidiaries and affiliates that support the delivery of new products and services and extend CEI’s reach to select rural communities beyond Maine. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, CEI is able to:

• offer venture capital via CEI Ventures, Inc. and CEI Community Ventures, Inc. to promising job-generating enterprises meeting CEI’s triple bottom line finance criteria
• facilitate the investment of significant private capital in targeted distressed communities through CEI Capital Management, LLC and its allocation of New Markets Tax Credits
• offer community investing opportunities to accredited individual and institutional investors through CEI Investment Notes, Inc.
